Living with Type 1 diabetes since I was 8 years old is certainly an uphill battle. I remember life being hard growing up and high school was so crazy with my health that my mom ended up homeschooling me. There was times that I would tell myself that no one will ever want to marry me because I have something wrong with me. I would constantly ask why me and I was confused to why I ended up with this never-ending , 24/7 disease. It wasnt until I turned 19 and moved into my own space and had an "adult" job, that I really started cracking down and focusing on my health. I slowly started paying attention to what I put in my body. I started becoming focused on holistic medicines and introduced crazy amounts of working out into my life. Fast forward to present time and my health is in tip-top shape. For the last 3 years of my life specifically, I work out at least 5 days a week, eat fairly healthy (cheating once a week on a meal is necessary in order to stay sane), and make sure my blood sugar levels are as good as they can be. I also administer my meds like clockwork and make sure to intake vitamins and supplements that will only add to my well being. I figured I would give you guys some insight on what supplements, personal foods, and snacks that help keep me going.
